Rosa Hathaway brings a rare combination of deep technical expertise and hands-on operational experience to her work as an investor. Prior to co-founding Starframe Capital, she served as Senior Director of Investments at Atento Capital, where she focused on identifying and supporting transformative early-stage companies across frontier and industrial technologies. She is also a founding member and venture partner at Ironbird Studio, a venture studio dedicated to building category-defining startups in aerospace, logistics, and robotics.

Rosa began her career in the oil and gas industry before pivoting to aerospace, where she interned at NASA and later spent nearly a decade at SpaceX. There, she played a pivotal role in the design, testing, and manufacturing of propulsion systems for both Falcon 9 and Starship, contributing to several of the company’s most groundbreaking missions and engineering milestones.

She holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Oral Roberts University.

Will Gray is a seasoned investor with a distinctive blend of experience across venture capital, public markets, and institutional asset management. Prior to co-founding Starframe Capital, he spent five years as a Partner and Co-Founder at Atento Capital, where he led investments on behalf of a multi-billion dollar family foundation. His work spanned pre-seed and seed-stage startups, early growth equity co-investments, and LP commitments into emerging venture firms and studio platforms.

Will brings deep cross-sector expertise with particular strength in aerospace, energy, consumer, and healthcare. He has served in governance and advisory roles including board seats, investment committees, and LPACs—bringing strategic insight and capital continuity to both startups and venture funds.

Before transitioning into venture, Will was a public market investor at Cavanal Hill Investment Management, where he earned his CFA charter and contributed to the management of five distinct equity strategies, including a top-performing global energy fund. He began his career in BOK Financial’s accelerated leadership program, gaining broad exposure to investment strategy and wealth management.

Will holds both an MBA and a B.A. from The University of Tulsa and was a former professional tennis player on the ATP Tour, earning an ATP World Ranking of #867 in singles and #631 in doubles.

TianYu Wong is a data-driven investor with a strong foundation in finance, analytics, and venture operations. Before joining Starframe Capital, he was a Senior Investment Associate at Atento Capital, where he led investment diligence, developed detailed financial models, and supported high-growth startups through both strategic and operational initiatives. While a generalist, he focused primarily on SaaS, cybersecurity, AI applications, and advanced manufacturing. He also helped build internal systems to support decision-making, mentored junior investors, and contributed to overall fund infrastructure.

TianYu began his career through internships in investment banking and M&A advisory at Bank of China, Bank of Shanghai, and Deloitte, and later deepened his venture investing experience at EduLab Capital Partners, where he focused on early-stage education technology companies.

In addition to his investing work, TianYu serves as a judge for the Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC), the world’s largest venture capital case competition. 

He holds a Master of Science in Applied Analytics from Columbia University, where he also completed MBA-level coursework in entrepreneurship, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Boston University, graduating magna cum laude.
